"On occasion!" Depended on who might be around to see him look, anyway. "You cannot possibly know how many times I looked or didn't look, dolcezza."

"Except for all the times you were shamelessly obvious," she replies, stepping out of the bathroom with a clean hand a washcloth for him since he's in no rush to stand.

"See, maybe if I was the only one you were checking out, I would have thought there something more serious behind it."

He takes it from her with a grazie and sets about wiping himself up. He gives her a wry look though; he's not unfamiliar with the song and dance of starting something serious and still getting all those little other girls comments.

"I'm afraid I am not perfect."

"Definitely not perfect." She smiles and sits next to him. "You'd be insufferable if you were."

"I will never try to be, then, as I wouldn't want to drive you away."

He leans in for a kiss.

Now that her hand is free, she can grab his face for a kiss, smiling into it. Maybe he'll have to keep up with her.

"Right into the arms of all the other guys here."

He'll take that challenge on day day.

"Are you saying that if another man showed up here, you would weigh your options?"

"Would you, if another woman showed up? Or... what about Lana? Cass?"

Don't think she forgot that one. Her tone is playful enough, but... who knows.

"What's over is over, dolcezza," he replies, a little more soberly. "I have closed those chapters of my life, and they are not the kind of women who would go troubling me for old time's sake."

"Sorry," she says with a small laugh, "Have I ever told you I'm a teeny tiny, itty bitty insecure about some things?"

He smiles very kindly, and he leans his temple against hers.

"I noticed," he replies. "But I assure you, as much as we like to joke about these things... I do know how to be serious with women."

"... well, you know. I only care about serious in some ways," she teases, smiling, but cuddling up. "That way being the most important of the ways."

[assassino]

He picks up her legs and drapes them across his.

"Some women like to be with a man who is popular with the ladies. It makes them feel powerful to know that at the end of the day, she has that man at her beck and call. I do not believe you are one of those women."

"Nope," she agrees, easily comfortable with him. "Besides, you were always at my beck and call. I just never took advantage of it."

[assassino]

He laughs.

"And now you can," he says. And then, slyly: "And you should. I live to serve, mia cara."

"And if I say just... this is enough?" She asks, smiling warmly at him. "I'm sure I'll come up with demands sooner or later, but right now, I just feel..."

Lucky?

"Lucky. Even with the circumstances being weird."

[assassino]

“Then it’s enough,” he agreed. “I feel very fortunate too. Whatever is going on with this castle, it means something for it to have sent us back together.”

"Probably something deeper than love confessions, right?" She teases.

“Perhaps! We will have to see if any ghouls or spiders are lurking...”

It's fine when she jokes, but not so much him. Steph makes a face.

"We probably should get dressed and get out there. I'm definitely getting hungry."

Ezio thinks that’s a cute face, but he gets her point.

“Then we’d best go. There’ll be time to carouse later.”

He finishes wiping himself up and gets to his feet to dress — proper Assassin gear this time, instead of just a shirt and trousers.

"Does this mean I can dress less like a potato sack, more like Batgirl?"

And freely walk around without worry about being seen, seeing as there's... no one...

He grins at her. Is it a trap to argue one way or another?

"You can dress however you like, dolcezza," he replies, lacing up his pants. "But then again, you do not blend in nearly as well as I can."

"Blend into what? Who are we blending... from?" She huffs, playfully, finding her underthings.
