He smiles very kindly, and he leans his temple against hers.

"I noticed," he replies. "But I assure you, as much as we like to joke about these things... I do know how to be serious with women."

"... well, you know. I only care about serious in some ways," she teases, smiling, but cuddling up. "That way being the most important of the ways."

He picks up her legs and drapes them across his.

"Some women like to be with a man who is popular with the ladies. It makes them feel powerful to know that at the end of the day, she has that man at her beck and call. I do not believe you are one of those women."

"Nope," she agrees, easily comfortable with him. "Besides, you were always at my beck and call. I just never took advantage of it."

He laughs.

"And now you can," he says. And then, slyly: "And you should. I live to serve, mia cara."

"And if I say just... this is enough?" She asks, smiling warmly at him. "I'm sure I'll come up with demands sooner or later, but right now, I just feel..."

"Lucky. Even with the circumstances being weird."

“Then it’s enough,” he agreed. “I feel very fortunate too. Whatever is going on with this castle, it means something for it to have sent us back together.”

"Probably something deeper than love confessions, right?" She teases.

“Perhaps! We will have to see if any ghouls or spiders are lurking...”

It's fine when she jokes, but not so much him. Steph makes a face.

"We probably should get dressed and get out there. I'm definitely getting hungry."

Ezio thinks that’s a cute face, but he gets her point.

“Then we’d best go. There’ll be time to carouse later.”

He finishes wiping himself up and gets to his feet to dress — proper Assassin gear this time, instead of just a shirt and trousers.

"Does this mean I can dress less like a potato sack, more like Batgirl?"

And freely walk around without worry about being seen, seeing as there's... no one...

He grins at her. Is it a trap to argue one way or another?

"You can dress however you like, dolcezza," he replies, lacing up his pants. "But then again, you do not blend in nearly as well as I can."

"Blend into what? Who are we blending... from?" She huffs, playfully, finding her underthings.

"Even supposing we are alone, I think I blend into a castle a little better than you!" he laughs. "Unless Gotham has any villages I have not heard about..."

He leans back into the bed to grab her sports bra and toss it her way.

No more tits for now. Away they go, and Steph is a little sad about it herself.

"You've always blended into a castle more than me. Just 'cause they're old timey, and so are you. Like peas in a pod."

"You could always wear more leather and less..." A vague gesture at her suit. "Whatever that is."

"Oh, if only I could wish things up. First would be condoms, next would be leather," she says with a roll of her eyes.

"... I mean, I'm gonna need more clothes, anyway. It's gonna be a problem eventually."

"I am quite sure there are leather goods and more clothing in the town," Ezio replies, amused. "But I doubt there are any craftsmen for condoms. At least not the kind you like best."

"That's the most depressing thing you've ever said."

Sighing, and entirely covered, she collects her boots. How is one under the bed? A mystery, but at least she finds it.

Ezio fetches his doublet from the closet.

"I think you are taking this a little hard, dolcezza," he says. "People in my time get by without, and without too much trouble at that."

"So you say," she sighs. "But that's something to sulk over later, I guess."

"So I know!"

He buttons up his doublet, still watching her.

"You'll see!"

"When does that ever turn out well? You'll see," she says, mimicking his accent.
