“We will get to those things soon,” he promises, closing his eyes a moment longer. Just a single minute to memorize this feeling and how delightful it is to be at the beck and call of one Stephanie Brown. “Between the two of us, it shouldn’t take long to come to some arrangement.”

So, this is Ezio basking in the afterglow. It's kinda sweet and kinda annoying as her mind hurries to remind her that there are things to figure out. For him, she pushes them aside, kissing along his jaw instead of shoving him out of the bed to wash up.

"You're cute, like this."

“Cute?” he repeats, amused, running his hand along her side. “I suppose I can be cute for you, dolcezza.”

"I think you have much choice in the matter, but hey, thanks," she teases.

[assassino]

"You're welcome."

He chuckles, and he gets a handful of her ass for a quick squeeze just because he can.

Quick? Steph huffs.

"You don't have to be shy. You've got free access, now. I mean, you practically did before, but now I openly welcome it."

[assassino]

What the lady wants, the lady gets. Ezio grins, pawing at her again, and this time he doesn't let go.

"Do you know how novel this is to me, after years of looking at you in all manners of dress?" He nudges at her temple with his nose. "That bat-suit..."

"Do you know how novel this is to me?" She's just louder about it. "Not holding myself back. Well, you know, aside from the whole condom issue, but I've still got hopes."

She breathes in deeply, taking advantage of the fact she can kiss him and the sky not crash down on her head.

[assassino]

"Dolcezza, you have my permission to put your hands on me whenever you please. I do not care if I am dangling off the edge of a tower. If you want me, you'll have me."

[secondchances]

"Dramatic. But noted."

She can't help but wonder how quick the novelty would wear off for him, if this place was populated, but that's just her brain being a party pooper.

[assassino]

His hand roves all over her still, and he pinches her butt just once.

"If we truly are alone here, we could just forego clothing entirely, most of the time. It would be convenient."

[secondchances]

"Until we find out there's some horrible monster lurking around. Don't mind a lack of clothes in bed, though."

But nearby. One must always be prepared for giant insects or vampires or some sort of monster of the week.

[assassino]

“If we must fight, then I will fight,” he says. She seems nervous. Ezio just feels the slow patient burn he’s always felt — if he can wait more than ten years for his revenge, and nearly that for this girl to return his feelings, then an immortal castle can wait, too.

“I will protect you, too.”

Her (clean) hand grabs his nose.

"None of that. I don't suddenly need protecting just because I'm your... girlfriend, or whatever."

Just to make it clear.

[assassino]

He gently tugs her off. These future girls!

“I’m not saying you need it,” he replies, pacifying. “Just that I would, because I care about you.”

[secondchances]

"That was a given. I've known you care about me. Loved me, even. It's just the in love part that came as a surprise--a pleasant one!--but I know you have my back. And I have yours. Especially so now. Can't have you lose your head or get all mangled and mauled now that I make out with you and stuff."

Priorities.

[assassino]

“I won’t be losing any head, I can assure you that,” Ezio promises her.

And then:

“Besides, I must feed my ego. What kind of man would I be if I didn’t offer to lay down my life for you?”

[secondchances]

Ha ha. Head. Nope, plenty of that around, apparently. Stephanie bites her lip, trying not to laugh.

"It's very chivalrous, thank you," she manages to say sincerely, after a moment of struggle. "Not gonna happen, but thanks."

[assassino]

He loves hearing her laugh, and he’s happy to dole out the jokes, even if unintended ones.

“You’re welcome,” he says, smiling and closing his eyes. He feels delighted to just listen to her. He could nap, messy as he is. Regrets are for unhappy people.

[secondchances]

"Ezio," she sighs, laughing still as she sees him relax, "Don't fall asleep. C'mon."

[assassino]

"But it's nice, laying here with you," he replies, not opening his eyes.

[secondchances]

"It'll be better, cleaned up. I'd like the use of my hand." So, unless he's going to fuss, she's going to sit up.

[assassino]

He groans, largely just for theatrics, and he tugs her in as if he might roll her onto his messy belly, but he lets her go.

“Fine, fine, fine...”

[secondchances]

She squeaks, just a little, and laughs as she's freed.

"You, too."

He's a mess, but he's still nice to look at, sprawled out like that.

"Up and at 'em, champ."

[assassino]

He groans as he sits up.

“A shower and then back to work, hm?”
